What is an ecosystem?
All the organisms and abiotic factors in a community.
What is the equation for photosynthesis?
Sunlight + CO2 + H2O –> O2 + Glucose

Light energy to chemical energy.
What is the equation for cellular respiration?
O2 + Glucose –> Energy + CO2 + H2O
What is biomass?
The total amount of organisms in an area.
What is productivity?
The rate energy is transferred to organisms.
What is efficiency?
How much energy is being transferred to another trophic level.
What does a pyramid of energy show?
The amount of energy passing through each trophic level over a period of time.
What does a pyramid of biomass show?
The mass of biological material at each trophic level.
What does a pyramid of numbers show?
The number of organisms at each trophic level.

The more solar energy, the faster productivity is.
