Q

How do you compare the relative acidity or neutrality of solutions from the pH or hydrogen iron concentration

A

Higher concentration of H ions = faster rate of reaction-strong acid’s dissociate more with than weak acids, a strong acid will be more reactive than a week acid of the same concentration
Low pH= high concentration of H ions so more acidic the solution is
Strong acid pH is lower than weak acid if both acid’s are at the same concentration since strong acid dissociate more then we acid resulting in a larger concentration of H ions

Q

What’s the difference between the concentration of an acid and the strength of an acid

A

Acid strength-proportion of the acid molecules ionising in water
Concentration-The total amount of dissolved acid molecules in a certain volume of water
