When preparing the patient physically
Remove patient clothing from ROI- to prevent artefacts
Give patient gown
Maintain patient dignity + respect

Variations for pediatrics
Child under 16 needs parental consent
Apply radiation protection to comforter/ carer
Comforter/ carer may need to hold the child in the correct position or radiolucent foam pads may be used
Minimize persons present in the room
Do not use adult exposure parameter settings on a ped patient
Bones have higher cartilaginous content
Higher radiation sensitivity
