Corollaries
How the interpretive processes operate to allow us to create our personal constructs. Address the basic processes employed to interpret events and become more complex.
Circumspection-pre-emption-control (CPC) cycle
We examine the propositional constructs that we have, which would be the most appropriate. At the pre-emptive phase, we weed out constructs that are less likely to succeed. We have reduced constructs available. We seriously consider remaining constructs and go with the one that will likely succeed.
Controlled elaboration
Therapist would help client to revise unhelpful constructs or discard them and replace them with new constructs, thus opening up the possibility of change.
