Q

What is the difference between balanced and and analog connections?

A

Balanced connectors use three components - hot, wire, and ground. Balanced connections allow signals to travel a longer distance without degrading. They are typically used between a mic and a pre-amp. Unbalanced connectors consist of two components and degrease more quickly through a cable. They are typically used between an electric guitar and an amp.
