How do you restrain parrots and raptors?

Parrots: MUST RESTRAIN HEAD/BEAK - thumb and first 1, 2 or 3 fingers around base of skull/neck; other fingers just rest. Do not squeeze thorax - remember to extend neck
Raptors: most important to restrain feet/talons - in lg birds, one hand on each leg; smaller birds - index finger btw feet, thumb on one side and the rest of your fingers on the other; fingers/palm points down away from bird
