T or F, 2/3 people have experienced at least one category of ACE
True
T or F, men are 50% more likely to have an ACE score >5 than women
False, women have a 50% chance, not men.
What is true about the number of risk factors in relation to child development delays?
The more risk factors increase, the more childhood delays will increase.
What are the 3 categories of diseases and disorders of adults that can arise from ACEs?
1.) Diseases/Disorders
2.) Health threatening behaviours
3.) Low educational achievement
What does the fault line ideology imply in relation to toxic stress and brain architectures?
That toxic stress can disrupt the brain architecture which can risk developing problems (such as skills, abilities and behaviours) later in life.
Why is addiction an adaptive response to the brain being under stressed?
Because it takes place in the brain’s reward system in which in any case it does not function properly. The use of substances and behaviours will take its place in brain circuitry to take more importance in their life and relieve the stress behaviour.
