4 450V 600V Flashcards
Check diagram in book.
Step by step for each attachment
1.
600V generator output is fed onto the 600V
Bud bars in the switchboard.
•Fed through their own supply breakers.
2.
600V bus bars in the switchboards are connected together by interconnecting breakers.
3.
•600V AC is supplied to a converter regulator:
- one supply by electrical motor air circuit breaker.
- Second supply by MCCB
4.
converter regulator converts and regulates the voltage at 750V DC.
5.
750V DC is fed to the propulsion motors
6.
•Control of propulsion motors and diesel generators is carried out from the supervisors desk in the ships control centre SCC.
7.
•The 600V supplied is used exclusively for the electric propulsion system.
•That voltage is even higher on other classes of ship.
•Regardless of ship class, all the ship’s consumable/services use 450V/115V.
•The 450V required for ship’s services is generated by a motor generator:
-forward auxiliary
-Upper auxiliary machinery room.
8.
- Electrical power to drive the motor generator is supplied from the 600V bus bar.
- Fed through a motor generator feeder breaker.
- Fed to the motor generator.
9.
- Motor generator output is connected to the 450V bus bar.
* Fed through a motor generator a supply breaker.
10.
450V bud bar in the switchboards are connected by interconnecting breakers.
11.
- 450V supplied to electrical distribution centres.
* Fed by feeder breakers.
12.
- When alongside, 450V supplied by shore supply to SS/SA Box.
- Fed by shore supply breakers.
