A soft approach refers to employees as the most important resource whereas a hard approach involves the employees being seen as a resource like any other.
What is Maslows hierarchy of needs?
Maslow hierarchy of needs shows how an employee has different needs and once one need is met, they are motivated to meet the next need.
What is Herzbergs Two factor Theory?
Herzbergs two factor theory shows how employees will be dissatisfied if hygiene factors are not in place but will be instead motivated by motivation factors
What is Hackman & Oldham Job characteristics model?
This model states that it is the job design itself that is a motivation factor for the employee consisting of : task identity, skill variety, task significance, autonomy and feedback.
