Q

describe learning theory

A

All behaviour is learned rather than inherited
Classical conditioning: new conditioned response learned through association between a neutral stimulus and an unconditioned one.

Q

Evaluate learning theory

A

The animal studies that it is based on lack external validity as they cannot be generalised to humans.
Attachment is not based off of food but contact comfort.
Proves attention and responsiveness

Q

what is classical conditioning

A

learning through association. A neutral stimulus is consistently paired with an unconditioned stimulus so that it eventually takes on the properties of the stimulus. Therefore it can produce a conditioned response.
