Valley forge

A

The makeshift camp that George Washington’s Continental Army made and stayed in during the winter of 1777- 1778. The conditions were harsh, so many people staying there starved, suffered from disease, and were improperly dressed. “Washington’s Continental Army began preparing for the winter of 1777-1778 by building a makeshift camp at Valley Forge. Conditions at Valley Forge were difficult, but the soldiers endured.”(Pearson 163)
