Q

Explain why the cell cycle dosen’t occur in some cells

Q

What is the difference between the Cell cycle and Mitosis?

A

Cell cycle: cycles of divisions with growth periods in between
Mitosis: only a small percentage of the cell cycle and refers to only nuclear division

Q

Outline what happens during Interphase

A

G1: cell synthesises proteins for replication e.g. tubilin for spindle fibres and the cell size doubles
S: DNA replication , chromosomes consist of 2 sister chromatids joined at a centromere
G2: organelles divide
