BEFORE conducting a FELONY CAR stop, officers WILL:

- Allow time to arrive before activating lights and siren

- Any intention to PIT
- Progress until relieved by secondary
- Discontinue visual contact when Air unit arrives

- Respond to termination point/notifications
- Post pursuit requirements completed
Lieutenant pursuit considerations
- Monitor and ensure conducted according to policy
- Allow field supervisor to remain in control. Limit radio traffic UNLESS to countermand.
- Respond to the termination point and ensure appropriate notifications.
