Q

what’s the process of DNA replication?

A

1) DNA’s double strands are seperated into single strands by DNA helicase = this breaks the hydrogen bonds between the base pairs.
2) free DNA nucleotides form hydrogen bonds with the single strands = adenine pairs with thymine and cytosine pairs with guanine.
3) DNA polymerase forms phosphodiester bonds between nucleotides, via condensation reactions, which form the new strand of DNA.
