Q

Explain how the Flood changed the locations of the tectonic plates, using 5 to 6 sentences. Make sure to use your best grammar.

A

Your Answer:
The flood changed the tectonic plates because the earth was a supercontinent in the beginning. This is commonly known as a Pangea. In the Bible, we learn that the earth is not like this due to Noah’s flood. In the Bible, we also know that God put volcanoes on the earth’s surface, forming the tectonic plates. When the plates were, they moved due to the mantle because it was liquid, which moved the continents to where they are now.

23
Q

The Croatian seismologist, Andrija Mohorovicic, discovered a boundary change in the Earth’s layers. Please explain how he discovered this using two to three sentences using your best grammar.

A

Andrija Mohorovicic discovered this by looking at pictures of different seismographs. He then realized that p-waves and s-waves travel differently in some areas. He then applied this knowledge and realized that there was an area known as the Mohorovicic discontinuity.

24
Q

Explain where the North American Cordillera is and what mountain ranges are included in it. Remember to use complete sentences when answering the question.

A

The North American Cordillera is found in Alaska and parts of Mexico. Some mountain ranges include the rocky mountains.
