Multi-dimensional concept that includes domains related to physical, mental, emotional, and social functioning - and overall quality of life as impacted by health status. Beyond direct measures of population health, life expectancy and causes of death. Traditionally linked to patient outcomes and focused on deficits in functioning. Well-being HRQoL focuses on functioning (positive emotions, psych resources).
