First arrivng Engine on a Structure Fire
- Posirtion to best accomplish tactical objectives
- Leave room for Support
- Determine Stategy based on cristical fireground factors and fire dynamics
- Rescue is first priority
Second due engine on structure fire
- Reset

Second due officer on structure fire may be assigned:
- Command

Third due engine on structure fire
May be assigned anything second due wasn’t plus RIC

Support Group on strucvture fire should be assigned to:
Second due truck officer
2 in 2 out
- Prepositioned outside structure or in non idlh

- Fires fought from outside the structure
A 2 out line shall be deployed or staffed:
As quickly as possible
The decision to advance the 2 out line can be made by:
- The Officer or FF in charge of 2 out line
- The officer on the primarry attack line

Defensive hoseline placement is characterized by the following:
- Hoseline size and location depends on available water supply
- Exposures
- Confine and extinguish fire to the building of origin
The usual hoseline placement model is:
- First hoseline may be used for reset or interior attack
- Second lone for 2 out
- Third hoseline for exposure protection
If the normal hoseline model is changed, those changes:
