WB, IMF and WTO work internationally to harmonise national economies
Cultural Globalisation
Western cultural traits dominate in some territories e.g. Americanisation or McDonaldisation of tastes and fashion
Circulation of ideas and info accelerated thanks to 24hr reporting; people keeping touch using virtual spaces such as Facebook
