A plan you make beforehand
About when, where and how to act.

What is environment design?
Redesigning your environment
To make the cues of your good habits more obvious.
What does James clear mean by ‘reducing friction’?
Optimising yr environment to make actions easier to perform.
Eg keep fake wine in inside fridge, real wine outside.
Don’t store stuff on top of filing box.
What does JC mean by ‘priming the environment’?
Creating an environment that favours the habit you are trying to build.
Eg putting running clothes out the night before
Clearing desk the night before and sitting file car on desk
Plateau of latent potential
A period in which you are putting in work, but not seeing the expected results. You are accumulating potential, but it hasn’t been realised yet.
What is temptation bundling?
Linking a habit you want to do, with an action You need to do.
Eg I will only eat chocolate when I am doing filing/admin. ? Quality reading.
What is a commitment device?
A choice you make in the present that locks in yr actions in the future.
