3 Point Lighting Flashcards
Name and briefly describe the 3 points of lighting
◆ Key Light is the most intense, highlights the focus/subject.
◆ Fill Light lights/lifts the shadows the key light creates.
◆ Backlight separates an object from the background
Is it better to over-light or under-light?
OVERLIGHT

Explain how you would measure the brightness of something?
Use a light meter
Input the camera’s ISO and frame rate into the light meter, the light meter then measures the amount of light that hits its sensor and tells you the value of the light it’s recieving in an F-stop x
Put that F-stop into the camera, and the shot exposure should be perfect
