Describe the two types of motions of Earth.
Rotation is the movement of Earth On its axis. Revolution is the movement of Earth around Sun in an elliptical fixed path, also called an Orbit.
What is the angle of tilt of the earth?

What is the circle of illumination?
The imaginary circle that divides the day from night on earth’s surface is called the circle of illumination.
What is a leap year?
The air consisting of 366 days, with 29 days in February, to account for the extra one fourth day which is neglected every year, for the sake of convenience. A leap year occurs once every 4 years.
What is the summer solstice?
It is the time of the year when the sun is directly overhead above locations on the Tropic of cancer. It occurs on 21st June.
What is Winter solstice?
It is the time of the year when the sun is directly overhead above places on the Tropic of Capricorn. It occurs on 22nd December.
What is the Autumn Equinox?
It is the time of the year when the days and nights are of equal duration. It occurs on 23rd September, when it is autumn in the Northern hemisphere and Spring in the southern hemisphere. Overhead sun is directly above the equator in Equinox.
What is the spring Equinox?
It occurs on 21st March. The duration of the day and night is equal on the spring Equinox. It is spring season in the Northern hemisphere and autumn season in the southern hemisphere. Overhead sun is directly above on places on the equator.
Describe the tilt of poles in solstices and the equinoxes.
In the summer solstice the north pole tilt towards the sun.
In the winter solstice The South Pole tilts towards the Sun.
In the equinoxis neither poles tilt towards the sun and hands the whole of the earth experience is equal day and night.
