What are the two masculine indefinite articles and when do you use them?
Un and Uno.
Un is used with a masculine noun beginning with most consonants or a vowel (un libro, un orologio)
Uno is used with a masculine noun beginning with:
s + a consonant (uno stereo)
or
z (uno zaino)
What are the two feminine indefinite articles and when do you use them?
Una and Un’
Una with feminine nouns starting with a consonant (una rivista)
Un’ with feminine nouns starting with a vowel (un’università)
Most foreign nouns are which gender?
