Information and Technology
Organisations must consider
- What information is managed by services
- what supporting information and knowledge is needed to deliver and manage the services
- How will the information and knowledge assets be protected, managed, archived and disposed of?
Information and Technology (Questions)
- is it compatible with current architecture?
- Does it raise regulatory, compliance or security issues?
- Will it be viable for the foreseeable future?
- Does the organisation have the right skills to support and maintain the technology?
- Does it offer additional capabilities that can be leveraged for other products or services?
- Does it introduce any new risks or constraints?
Partners and Suppliers
Relationships can be many and varied:
- Formal, contractual, clearly defined.
- Commodity provision, often consumables
- Flexible partnerships with shared risk, profit etc.
The relationships should be based on the organisations culture, goals and business environment.
Value Streams and Processes
Value Stream:
- a series of steps to create and deliver products and services to consumers.
Process:
- Define the sequence of actions and their dependencies.
