What is the development gap
This is the difference in wealth in countries or social groups in a country
What is HDI and how is it meausred
Human development index. Meausred in Income education and life expectancy
From 0-1 1 being best and 0 worst.

What is the demographic transition model and explain all stages
This model represents 4 stages in a countries development. It shows the birth rate and death rate.
At stage 1 the birth and death rte are very high.
At stage 2 the population begans to gradually increase as the death rate begins to drop
At stage 3 the birth rate gradually drops and the death rate becomes lower.
At stage 4 the lines of death and birth rate reach a low point and meet as the population remains constant.
What are examples of stage 1,2,3,4
Stage 1 would be a tribe in the Amazon or Africa.
Stage 2 would be a LIC
Stage 3 would be an NEE like Nigeria
Stage 4 would be a HIC like the US
What is a population pyramid
This shows the population in a country. The bulge in the pyramid shows how many people are that age and how quick there dying. If the pyramid was a thin pyramid with a bulge at the bottom it shows that they are at stage 1 of the demographic transition model.

What is GNI
The gross national income which is how much services and goods a country has.
What are some physical/economic/political/historical factors
Physical:Climate,landlocked,Natural hazards
Economic:Debt
Political:Corrupt goverment
Historical:Colonialism,War
What is the brandt line
This line divides the poor and rich. By dividing them into the north and south. It isnt a straight line but the rich is the north and the poor is the south. As some countries like Australia and some place in Africa are rich.
What are 4 physical causes of uneven development and how can they cause this
Landlocked as it doenst allow countries to do trade with other countries bringging in more money.
Climate as hot climates allow diseases such as malaria to enter the country and breed.
Natural disasters make countries keep rebuilding structure which takes lots of money
What is migration/immigrants/Emigrant/economic migrant
Migration is when people move from place to place volutanrily or forced by others
Immigrants are people who move into a country
Emigrants are people who move out of a country.
Economic migrant is a person who moves voluntarily to seek abetter life in a job or education
Why are migrants good
This is because for a rich country which migrants are most likely moving too. These migrants can work low paying jobs and increase diversity in the community which can lead to new jobs.
