What is a quotation?
Details of the proposed price of goods or services to be supplied.
What is a sales order?
Details of the quantities ordered by the customer.
What is a purchase order?
Details of the quantities ordered from a supplier.
What is a goods received note?
A list prepared by stores of the quantities of goods that have been received from a supplier.
What is a goods despatched note?
A list prepared by the supplier which is included with the goods.
What is a statement?
A list sent to customers of invoices sent and cash received during a period.
It shows any balance outstanding.
What is a credit note?
A negative invoice issued when a customer has returned goods.
What is a debit note?
Produced by the customer when goods are returned.
What is remittance advice?
Sent by the customer to the supplier giving notification of payment.
What is a receipt?
Issued to the customer by the supplier confirming payment has been received.
