Stratify different medical conditions as low, moderate or high risk
What should you do with low risk clients with any positive answers on the PARQ?
Refer them to an exercise referral service
What should happen with medium risk clients?
They should be entered into an individualised, supervised exercise programme via an exercise referral specialist
What should you do with high risk clients with cardiac disease?
Refer them back to their doctor for referral to a cardiac rehabilitation service
What should you do if you are unsure of a client’s condition?
Consult or refer the client to a health professional (GP, physiotherapist, sports injury specialist)
