Q

Explain the 4 stages of the predator-prey relationship graph?

A

STAGE 1-
an increase in prey population = more food for the predators = more survive and reproduce = increased predator population
STAGE 2-
increased predators = more prey eaten = decline in prey population = date rate is higher than birth rate
STAGE 3-
reduced prey can no longer support large predator population = instraspecific competition for food = decrease in predator population
STAGE 4-
reduced predator number = less prey killed = more prey can survive and reproduce = increased prey population
