Definition of terrorism
The use or threat of an action
That is designed to influence the government or international governmental organisation
Or to intimidate the public or section of the public
AND
It is made for the purpose of advancing a political,religious,racial, or ideological cause
What actions are classed as terrorism?
Serious violence
Serious damage to property
Endangers life’s of others
Creates a serious risk to the health and safety of the public
Designed to seriously interfere with / disrupt an electronic system
S11 Terrorism act 2000
He belongs or professes to belong a proscribed organisation
What is a defence to s11?
That the last time he professed to belong/ the last time he had involvement was before they became proscribed
S12 Terrorism act
Inviting support/ arranging or managing meetings of 3 or more people to further support the activities of the proscribed group
S13 Terrorism act?
Wear an item of clothing or displaying an article in such a way to arouse suspicion that he may be a supporter of a proscribed organisation
What are the financial crimes?
15(1)- Inviting another to provide money 15(3)- Providing money or property 15(2)- Receiving money or property 16(2)- Possessing money or property 17- Arranging for money or property to be made available
ALL with INTENTION that or reasonable cause to suspect it may be used for purposes of terrorism
What is S16(1) Terrorism?
Using money or property for the purposes of terrorism
What is S18?
Concealing moving or transferring any terrorist property
S19 Terrorism act
Believes/suspects
Another has committed an offence under S15-18
AND
Bases his belief/suspicion on information which comes to his attention in the course of trade/business/profession/ or employment
AND
He does not disclose this to a constable as soon as practicable
S20 Terrorism act
A person may disclose to a constable
A suspicion/ belief that any money/property is terrorist or derived from terrorism
And any matter on which the suspicion or belief is held a
S38B Terrorism act
If in England and Wales, a person must disclose to a constable as soon as practicable…

A range for the removal or movement of a vehicle
Prohibit or restrict access to a cordoned area
