Breech or Cord
Presentation of umbilical cord, hands, feet, or buttocks first from birth canal
Imminent Delivery
- 1st full pregnancy and labor pains ≤ 2 mins apart
- 2nd plus full pregnancy and labor pains ≤ 5 mins apart
- Pushing or straining
HIGH RISK Complications
Local Medical Control must define and authorize any conditions before determinant can be used:
* Premature birth (24-36 weeks)
* Multiple birth (≥ 24 weeks)
* Bleeding disorder
* Blood thinners
* Cervical cerclage (stitch)
* Placenta abruption
* Placenta previa
OMEGA Referral
Local Medical Control must authorize the use of non-mobile referral, if not the locally assigned response will be followed:
* Waters broken (no contractions or presenting parts)
SERIOUS Hemorrhage
Uncontrolled bleeding (spurting or pouring) from any area, or anytime a caller reports “serious” bleeding
Miscarriage
Post-delivery of a fetus or products of conception
(tissue) prior to 6 months or 24 weeks of gestation
Problem Suffix
M: Multiple brith
POSTPARTUM Hemorrhage
Vaginal bleeding ≤ 8 weeks after delivery
