US Flag
Placement:
- suspend vertically
- at the peak of the staff
- union to the uppermost, to the flag’s own right

By Day:
- All days proclaimed by the POTUS

- daily near the main admin bldg of every public institution
- each school day, near every schoolhouse
US Flag at Half-Staff
- All flags flown with US Flag are flown at half staff
- exception is foreign national flags
Raising/Lowering:
- first hoisted to peak, then lowered to half-staff
- raised to peak again before lowering
Installation Flag
- flown from reveille to retreat on AF installations
- placed in front of installation headquarters
- additional flags authorized for each dependent school
- measures 8’11 3/8”x17’
- lightweight nylon bunting material
- only displayed in fair weather

- no official flag folding script
- no official meaning to folds of the flag
