What is an executive branch?

A

executive branch is another term for the highest form of the government
in the most modern democracies power is divided among three branches of Government:

executive branch (who carry out laws; they are the most powerful key decision making body): the PM & cabinet; PM leads
legislative branch: parliament; law making
judicial branch: enforcing laws (the UK Supreme Court)
