Point out the major lung structures on the PA view of a CXR.
A
- RUL and RLL - no clear division, usually about halfway through.
- Costophrenic angles - should both be sharp
- Trachea midline - follow down to the shadow of the carina
- Cardiophrenic angles - should both be sharp

Point out the major lung structures in a lateral view of the lung.
A
- Retrosternal space
- You can draw a diagonal line and ‘Y’ shape as shown, which helps to differentiate the lobes of the R lung.
- The RUL and LUL are overlaid.
- The RLL and LLL are overlaid.
