What is digital footprint?
The mark that you leave when you are online. It is all the information about you that you have posted about yourself, or other people . Your digital footprint includes information that you mean to share,and information that you share without releasing.
Your digital footprint can:
-show a lot about you
-Be shared widely
-Last a long time even forever(persistent)
Ways to look after your digital footprint?
-Think before you post
-Searching yourself to see what your digital footprint would look like to other people
-Make sure all your privacy setting are secure
What is online privacy?
-Privacy is being protected form being watched or listed to by other people
-Online / Digital privacy is difficult to attain because companies collect your information to send you ads specific to your interests.

When you use apps and websites
How long you spend on different apps and websites
Ways to protect your privacy?
-Change your passwords often
-Switch off your current location
-Switch off the automatic login function
-Manage your audience (feature to control who sees the content you post)
-Hide your activity (social media sites show when you’re online or when your last online. Some show what your doing at the moment. You can often hide your activity status using the Profile or Account menu)
What are cookies?
A text file put on your computer, phone or other device by the websites you visit. The cookie collects information about you for the company.
