a lack of energy and enthusiasm
acute rhinosinusitis
less or equal to 4 weeks durations
max: 3 episodes per year
recurrent rhinosinusitis
no less than 4 episodes (10 or more days each)
and no symptoms in between
chronic rhinosinusitis
lasts no less than 12 weeks
All the following are usual pathogens in ACUTE sinusitis in adults and children EXCEPT:
A. M. catarrhalis
B. S. pneumoniae
C. H. influenza
D. Anaerobes
E. S. aureus
F. S. pyogenes
G. Enterobacteriaceae
G. Enterobacteriaceae - Chronic, not acute
Most common: M.catarrhalis, S. pneumoniae, H. influenza
Less common: Anaerobes, S.aureus, S.pyogenes
