Will a JD who commits an Assault offense on a family member be allowed a Family Court Appearance ticket for an Assault 2 ?
No. Because remember, we will not release someone who has committed a Felony Assault or sex offense against a member of his family/household. Or if the circumstances where the release of the Juvenile would be damgerous to a member of the same family/household.
Can a UMOS responding to a child abuse job take it upon himself to remove a child from a home ?
Yes !!! If the parent consents.
If not Patrol Supervisor must direct removal if there isnt time for a court order.
What notifications does the Desk Officer make when a UMOS has discovered an Abandoned Child ?
