Special groups formed to tackle specific issues, such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Health Organisation. They focused on improving humanitarian conditions across the world, improving people’s standard of living, stopping slavery and helping to cure deadly diseases.

A

An international court of law that could give hearings and advise the parties involved in an argument, but rulings were not compulsory so were easily ignored. The members were elected by the Assembly and they were given their jobs for 11 years. Any country could attend the court to present their issues and disputes
