Officers must ensure a gunfire scene is processed by the Crime Scene Unit when appropriate. For any scene not being processed by the Crime Scene Unit, officers will: (3)
(1) Have a supervisor photograph all evidence before it is collected;
(2) Collect and process all evidence in accordance with the provisions outlined in Order 346 (Crime Scene Unit); and
(3) Complete an Evidence Technician Report.
Who will handle next-of-kin death notifications when the deaths were not related to homicide or traffic homicide incidents?
