Which system causes diabetes?
A
The immune system attacks the pancreas, killing beta cells that make insulin. The pancreas makes little to no insulin, leaving glucose to sit in the blood stream (since insulin can’t let it into the cell)

A
Frequent urination, weight loss, exhaustion

What are complications
A
Loss of eyesight, heart problems, kidney failure, poor circulation

What is a negative feedback loop?
A
When something happens in the body, to either raise or lower levels in the body—return it to homeostasis

What is a positive feedback loop?
A
When an action occurs in the body and as a response, the action rises and rises until the mechanism is not needed anymore
