What are in bacteria cells? (4)
- Cytoplasm

- Genetic material isn’t in a nucleus
What are in yeast cells? (4)
Nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, cell wall
- Nucleus
- Cytoplasm
- Cell membrane
- Cell wall
What’s the function of the nucleus?
Contains genetic material that controls the activities of the cell
What’s the function of the cytoplasm?
Gel-like substance where most of the chemical reactions happen, contains enzymes
What’s the function of the cell membrane?
Controls what moves in and out of the cell
What’s the function of the mitochondria?
Where respiration takes place, this releases the energy the cell needs
What’s the function of the ribosomes?
Where proteins are made
What’s the functions of the chloroplasts?
Converts light energy into glucose by photosynthesis, contains chlorophyll
What’s the function of the cell wall?
Supports and strengthens the cell
What’s the function of the permentant vacuole?
Contains cell sap
What’s diffusion?
The spreading out of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration
How does oxygen get into cells for respiration?
Oxygen molecules are very small so they can diffuse through the cell membrane
