Describe odontomes?
-benign hamartoma formed from Odontogenic and mesenchymal epithelium
-non neoplasticism Odontogenic benign tumour composed of dental hard and soft tissue
- asymptomatic swelling , pain and swelling once exposed , assymetric tooth eruption
- radiopaque mass of haphazard dental tissues
Histopathological features of odontomes?
- dental hard tissues of enamel and dentine
- compound and complex odontomes
-compound-similar to tooth as similar layering as dentine enamel and pulp
-complex- structure is more disorganised
Clinical features of pemphigus vulgaris
-blisters/bullae
- erythema
-large shallow non healing ulcers
Symptoms of pemphigus vulgaris
-pain
-soreness
-bleeding
-blisters
-lesions
-burning
Hisopathological features of pemphigus vulgaris?
Separation of cells within prickle cell layer causing blisters
Intra oral epithelium separation with fluid seen as blisters and ulceration
Presence of inflammatory cells causing pain and inflammation
How to manage pemphigus vulgaris
Rule out cancer
IMMUNOSUPPRESSION topical and systemic steroids like predisnolone and azathioprine
Refer to rheumatology

How to assess numbness?
Do a cranial nerve test
Test sensory nerves of mandibular branch of trigeminal
Sharp blunt test
2 point discrimination
Gustatory response
Use other side as a control
How to pre-operatively assess risk of nerve injury
-1/4 opt
-CBCT to see relation to see relation of roots of 8 to id nerve
How to know if roots of 8 are close to ID nerve?
-loss of cortication of nerve canal
-deviation of roots

Features of crohns?
Ulceration ,glossisits, swelling, tissue tags, cobblestone mucosa, fissures and ulcers, angular Che lit is, weight loss, rectal bleeding
Histological findings of crohns
Granulomas present not in UC
Lymphocytic infiltrate is patchy and heavy in places
Goblet cells present

Sarcoidosis and wegeners

What is rivaroxaban
