No sworn written statement is required when the complaining or initiating party is a member of the judiciary, OPD or from any governmental agency/officer or when, under law, the case must be forwarded to the CJSTC

Supervisor Recomendation
The the purpose of recommending discipline for a sustained violation, the employee’s supervisor shall only receive a printout of the employee’s past sustained unpurged violations

Phone Calls Compenstation
Phone calls to an employee on behalf of the department during the employee’s off duty hours, of a duration of less then 3 minutes, will not be cause for compensation to the employee

An employee’s 10 year prior discipline history and the seriousness of the offense will be important factors in determining discipline

Discipline
The discipline of, oral reprimand, written censure, and termination shall be invoked immediately. All other disciplines shall be invoked at the conclusion of the grievance process

Required Time
Employees required to work in a higher classification for 4 or more hours of the regularly scheduled shift shall be paid at the minimum of the higher classification or receive 7% increase to their current rate of pay, whichever is greater for all hours worked

8 and 10 hour shifts, 30 minute paid meal break
12 hour shifts, 45 paid meal break
Community Relations and those preforming administrative duties, 1 hour unpaid, if denied any portion, paid for actual time worked or workday shortened in the workweek

Whenever a shift rotation occurs, employees will be entitled to at least 8 scheduled hours of off duty time prior to returning to work

An employee ordered to return to work scheduled overtime shall be paid for actual hours worked or 4 hours straight time pay or comp time whichever is higher

Repeated Recall in 24 hours
An employee recalled during a period (24 hours beginning at midnight) who has already received the 3 hour minimum call back equivalent shall be paid for only additional hours actually worked beyond that minimum
