What were Browns contentious issues?

A

2007 financial crash- Us housing market collapses and the US begin calling the loans. The Uk banks restricted their own lending, causing businesses to collapse, triggering a recession. Browns govt either nationalised or guarantee these banks to prevent their collapse. Massive taxpayers’ bailout £137bn.
Expenses scandal- Daily Telegraph are leaked in full details from 2004-2008. Lack of scrutiny, generosity and loopholes MPs exploited to maximise their expenses.
