Area of land where vegetation has been lost and soil reduced to dust from no crop rotation this hurt people because they couldn’t grow on their farm and become poor

A porption of money,food, ect by doing a charity or for maintenance it was a payment to the unemployed by the government this was a good thing and people got food and money to survive for doing work for a good cause
Bennett buggy
It was a car without the engine and windows token out and was pulled by a horse named after president Herbert Hoover this was good because you can still get places without spending money on gas
Government work camps
Federal government created system for unemployment where exchange room-and-bored single men did physically demanding labour this was good for the unemployed to have a shelter and food
Riding the rails
Many forced off farm to work hundreds of miles away more then two mill men and 8,000 girls become homeless this was bad because people become homeless and had to leave

A person who is stay/ working in a place for a short time
Workfare
The government looks at the bottom 20 jobs that make the less and they help them out this helped us so that people didn’t starve or become homeless
Soup kitchen
Severed free meals to hungry people like the unemployed
Winnipeg general strike
May 15 -June 25 1919 is Canada’s best known strike about getting better wages and safer conditions 30,000 people quit jobs within hours
Boondoggle
Wasted money or time on unnecessary or questionable projects this was bad for people getting paid for charity work

Late October the stock market crashed

Not having the right to vote so woman at this time couldn’t and at changed later on
Grasshoppers
Tons of swarms of grasshoppers would come to eat all vegetation and there were so many of them it looked like a dark cloud
