The 4 main clauses can be summarised under ‘BRAT’

Blame: War guilt clause (Article 231) meant that Germany had to take full responsibility for the War- humiliating

Reparations: £6.6B and unfairly affected German citizens

Armed forces reduced: 100k soldiers, 6 battleships, 15k officers. Affected Germans because they were left with the bare minimum to defend itself, while Britain enjoyed naval supremacy.

Territory: Germany lost 13% of her territory under the ToV and 12.5% of the population. Anschluss was forbidden.
