What is the difference between a group and a team?

A

Group: consists of people who have something in common, but are working individually and are only accountable for themselves.

Team: share a common goal and work together to achieve that goal. They work as a whole and have ‘collective accountability’.

What are the different types of teams?

A

Functional team: the people you work with on a day to day basis within department

Cross-functional team / interworking: working with people across different departments

Project team: working with people in a specific project

Task force team: emergency situation, where something needs to be solved and done rapidly
