Sasae Ashi
Leg stop and throw
- start with right foot step, block opponent leg with right foot, rotate his upper body to your right
Deashi Harai
Advanced foot sweep
- start with left step, turn opponent counterclockwise, to left foot sweep
Okuri Harai
Side step lower foot sweep
- start with right foot step back, rotate 90*, slide step right while lifting opponent up, sweep both opponents legs at end of third slide
Soto Gama
Outside sickle
- start with left foot step back, catch opponents right foot with inside of left foot (in a sickle form), and throw opponents leg right while pulling him down left
Uchi Gama
Inside sickle (backfall) - step between opponents legs with right foot, press front of right shin/foot against back of opponents left leg, bend right knee
Soto Momo Harai
Outside thigh sweep
- referee position, pivot on opponent, raise right knee up to bent leg, kick backwards to middle of opponents right thigh and bow
Uchi Momo Harai
Inside thigh sweep
- referee position, pivot on opponent, raise right knee up to bent leg, kick backwards to inside of opponents left thigh and bow
O’Goshi
Major hip throw
- referee position, pivot, hips to right of opponent’s, left arm bent and high, look past left elbow, bow
Utsuri Goshi
Counter throw - stepping out of O’Goshi
- pull and guide!
- you try to apply O’Goshi, opponent jumps out twice, on third jump step in with left foot, when opponent jumps, throw right leg out and pivot around left,
Seoi Nage
Flying mare or over the shoulder throw
- referee, pivot, reach under opponents right arm with right arm, trapping it in crook of your elbow, bow
Ushiro Goshi
Counter to Seoi Nage
- opponent attempts Seoi Nage, step back with left foot, throw left palm (fingers pointed down) into small of his back, pivot around to left and sweep right leg
Seoi Goshi
Elbow under the armpit throw
- referee, pivot, rotate right elbow into opponents armpit, keeping wrist straight, squat lower than normal, how
Tsurikomi Goshi
Double arm throw
- referee, grab under left arm slightly above elbow tip with right hand, pivot, raise right arm up as you pivot, bow
Harai Goshi
Outside thigh throw
- referee, pivot, raise right knee up, stomp backwards to ground outside opponent’s right thigh, put heel to ground, opponent falls over right leg
Hane Goshi
Bent leg throw or waist spring
- referee, pivot, turn left foot out, bend right leg, bring right foot up into inner thigh of opponent’s right leg, bend leg back as you bow
