What is the total number of timeouts
There is 5 timeouts but 3 of them are full timeouts and 2 of them are half timeouts.
Full timeout: 1 minute (60 seconds)
Half timeout: 30 seconds
Double-teaming not allowed outside the lane( aka paint area)
Double-teaming the ball in the lane is allowed; but when the ball is passed out of the lane,
double-teaming should stop and players should resume covering their individual opponent in a
man-to-man format
backcourt defense
There is no back court defense allowed in this grade division, except for the last 2 minutes of
the game and during over-time.

Max tehnical fouls
2 for coach. 2 for player.
Will be ejected after the foul
where is FREE THROW LINE SHOOTING for GBA 4th-5th grade
Foul line is one foot closer to basket in 4th-5th grade
lane violation(paint area violation)
GBA rule 5 seconds( NBA rule 3 seconds). Offense player cannot not wait in the paint area for more than 3 seconds when teammate has the ball and is outside the paint
Backcourt time violation
The failure to bring the ball from the backcourt into the frontcourt in the
allotted 10 seconds
Is there any 24 second time limit to shoot the ball
It is not in the GBA rule book. I have not seen Ref’s calling it.
Bench players
All players must remain seated on bench during game when they are not playing
dress code
GBA issued jersey and athletic shorts that do not
have any pockets
