2 engine. Flashcards
1
Q
venturi
A
Venturi is a practical application of Bernoulli’s theorem. It is sometimes called a convergent/divergent ducts. The venturi tube contains an inlet that narrows to a throat and forms a converging duct, resulting in (1) velocity increasing and (2) pressure (static) decreasing and (3) temperature decreasing. The outlet section is relatively longer, with an increase in diameter, resulting in (1) velocity decreasing, (2) pressure increasing and (3) temperature increasing.

Q
Piston Engine
A
- Lycoming
- 180 Horsepower
- 4 Cylinders
- Horizontally Opposed
- the crankshaft turns 2 cycles for a 4-stroke cycle
- reciprocating engine

Q
Intake Stroke
A
The intake stroke begins with the piston starts to travel down to the bottom. The inlet valve opens and air-fuel mixture is drawn into the cylinder.
