How is the Bible split?
It is split into two main parts - the Old and New Testaments
What does Omnipotent mean?
God is all-powerful
What does benevolent mean?
God is loving and caring
What does Just Judge mean?
God judges people’s actions fairly.
What does omniscient?
God knows everything - past, present and future
What does eternal mean?
God has always existed, and he will continue to exist forever.
What does Immanent mean?
God is present in the human world, and takes an active role in humanity.
What does personal mean?
God is a ‘person’. If God is personal, a relationship is possible through prayer
What is the Trinity?
That God exists in three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
What is the creation story?
When God created the world in 6 days and on the 7th day he rested
What happened on each day of the creation?
1: light and darkness were made
2: The sky
3: Oceans, land and plants
4: sun, moon and stars
5: creatures of the water and sky
6: land animals and people.
Who were the first two humans?
Adam and Eve
Why do Christians believe that humans are special?
Because God created mankind in his own image.
What is moral (human-made) evil?
When suffering is brought about by the cruel actions of people
What is natural evil?
Caused by the world around us, not humans ourselves.
Includes earthquakes, floods etc.
