2 - Amount of Substance Flashcards

1
Q

what are the similarities and differences between relative atomic mass, relative molecular mass, and relative formula mass

A

Each is compared to a 12th of the mass of a carbon 12 atom, but RAM or Ar is for the mass of one atom of an element, RMM or Mr is for molecules, and RFM also Mr is for ionic compounds as they don’t exist as molecules
